Understanding Insurance & Affordability

Quality mental health care should be accessible to all.

We’re committed to helping you navigate the often complex world of insurance and therapy costs.

Insurance and Self-Pay

Our goal is to ensure you can focus on your journey of growth and healing without undue financial stress. Work with a clinician directly for questions, as they are able to make referrals or answer questions.

Virtual Sessions & Multi-State Licensing

Our therapists offer convenient virtual sessions, allowing you to access care from the comfort of your own space. We’re proud to have therapists licensed across multiple states, including Maryland and Pennsylvania, to serve a diverse range of clients.

Insurance Options

Accepted Insurance Plans

While each therapist maintains their own panel of accepted insurance plans, Restorative Strategies works with a variety of insurance providers. Some of the insurance plans we commonly accept include:

Aetna

Blue Cross
Blue Shield

Cigna

United Healthcare

Please note that this list is not exhaustive and may change. We recommend viewing our staff bios for specific insurance information or reaching out to an individual therapist directly to verify insurance acceptance for your specific plan.

In-Network Coverage

Many of our therapists are in-network with various insurance providers. When you reach out to us, we’ll help match you. Our staff profiles are designed to help you find the right therapist that aligns with your personal goals, preferences, and insurance needs. We want you to find a therapist who not only meets your therapeutic needs but also works with your insurance.

Out-of-Network Benefits

If your preferred therapist isn’t in-network with your insurance, don’t worry! Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. Here’s how it typically works:

1. You pay the full fee at the time of service.
2. We provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt or invoice for insurance purposes).
3. You submit the superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Reimbursement is not guaranteed and the amount of reimbursement depends on your specific plan’s out-of-network benefits. Additionally, Out-of-Network benefits can have higher deductibles so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your coverage.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the No Surprise Act. This aims to prevent Surprise Billing by providers for services rendered to consumers without insurance or insured consumers that don’t plan to use their health plan to cover costs. Providers must furnish a Good Faith Estimate to the individual prior to receiving the service or item. Please see the attached link for more information.
